Alarm Technician

General Description
The quality of our service starts with our Technicians. Therefore, each of our Technicians must have an experience in proven track record of installing, activating and servicing alarm systems from a variety of equipment manufacturers like DSC, Ademico, GE, Paradox, Napco. Technicians must also have the ability to trouble-shoot and repair both wired and wireless systems. Successful Technicians must further have the ability to interact well with customers, including explaining how each product feature works. To be effective, Technicians must have a passion for providing personal and property protection to homeowners and business owners. LST provides each of its Technicians with all of the tools and support materials necessary to succeed.
Competitive commission and incentive compensation commensurate with the amount of time required completing each call.
Qualifications
- Two years experience as a technician in the security industry.
- High school diploma or higher.
- Reading, writing, and verbal fluency in English.
- Fundamental mathematical skills, including ability to calculate subtotals, discounts, commissions, taxes, and totals.
Primary Skills
- Ability to install a fully integrated home or business security alarm system.
- Knowledge of electrical wiring and circuitry, including ability to run wires through walls and ceilings.
- Exceptional ability to trouble-shoot and problem solve malfunctioning or inoperative equipment.
- Excellent documentation and reporting skills.
- Strong ability to communicate with customers and managers.
Requirements
- Reliable motor vehicle for transportation.
- Valid, unrestricted driver's license.
- Adequate motor vehicle insurance, including uninsured motorists' coverage.
